day 02 - favorite movie
again, this whole favorite thing is getting old. and it’s only day 2.
but, i’m sure you want some movies. so here is a list.
favorite tim burton movie - beetlejuice
i know what everyone’s saying: not NIGHTMARE BEFORE CHRISTMAS? yes, i love NBC, however beetlejuice was like, my favorite movie as a kid. and my mom actually wouldn’t let me watch NBC when it came out cause she thought it would give me nightmares. honestly.
favorite 80’s movie - ferris bueller’s day off
despite being born in ‘88, i think the ’80s probably had some of the best movie writing, and the john hughes selection is fantastic. pretty in pink, 16 candles, breakfast club are all great, but ferris stands out for me. i don’t know how many times i watched it before going to work or class and then having to literally drag myself out of the house when all i wanted to do was ditch. horrible influence, fantastic movie. fantastic quotes.
favorite ‘kids’ movie - harry potter series
i really don’t think this needs to be explained. i’m a huge kid at heart, and i’m excited to go to the harry potter world at universal this summer. hopefully, those plans won’t fall through.
but hot damn, rupert grint is gorgeous
favorite ‘adult’ movie - fight club
say what you want, i love fight club and chuck palahniuk. and man, as much as the ending in the movie is fucked up, i can stay up all night watching this movie. and don’t even get me started on the book [that will come later]. it’s 2 hours and 40 minutes of mind blowingness and a pretty accurate reflection of the diseases born in capitalistic society. wanna have a discussion? hit me up. i’m totally down with discussing and dissecting fight club anytime
agree with my choices? disagree? think i should maybe watch something that was written in 2010? lemme know.
